BRUTTO (BLR)

We are happy to present BRUTTO! This is a new band of Sergey Mikhalok, lead vocalist of a popular band, Lyapis Trubetskoy, which after 25 years of successful career broke up in 2014.   On September 1st, 2014, BRUTTO announced loudly and confidently about their emergence on stage and their serious plans.  They didn’t fail their fans all over the world. Since then the band has released 8 singles, 1 full-length album, 9 video clips and 2 lyric videos.  BRUTTO has given several major concerts and went on a big tour around Ukraine. All this just within several months! The nearest plans for the future include a tour around Europe and participation in big international festivals. Sergey Mikhalok has been forbidden to give concerts in his own country, Belarus, for several years already.  The band has started to have problems and concert cancellations in Russia where they have hundreds of thousands of fans.  Subsequently, the lead singer and producer had to move to Ukraine. The band has always had a pronounced civil position and defended the rights of the people of Belarus and other countries to freedom and self-determination. One of Sergey Mikhalok’s songs – Warriors of Light - became a real hymn of freedom on the barricades during the Maidan protest movement in Ukraine.  All this is reflected in a recent manifesto of the band: "Partisan Rock is the music of freedom fighting! Not an ephemeral, spiritual, but real freedom enabling us to decide our own fate!
We do not want the return of the Soviet Union!
The people of Ukraine and Belarus want a complete liberation from the yoke of the Kremlin! The struggle against totalitarianism, dirty power, Putin's imperial thinking - is the most important task and the main theme of our musical resistance! Long Live Belarus! Glory to Ukraine!
